About the Project
StoryCenter rejects current political rhetoric and policy demonizing immigration and recognizes the need for storytelling efforts that can make newcomer experiences visible, connect people through strength rather than fear, and promote learning and action for justice.

These stories were created in our Stories of Home project, centralizing the voices of immigrant and refugee women, and the work of women artists.

All proceeds from the sale of this book will go towards supporting further storytelling and artmaking activities by and for immigrant, refugee, and asylee communities.

Acknowledgements:

Thank you to Leah Yael Levy and Esther Elia for book design and layout.

Thank you to our participating Stories of Home storytellers and artists, for their generosity in sharing their stories and bringing them into the world.
