Directions to our Main Office


The Center for Digital Storytelling main office is located at 1803 Martin Luther King Jr. Way (MLK) in Berkeley, California.

Our cross street is Delaware. View online map.

Driving Directions:
From Interstate 80, take the University Ave. exit. Continue on University headed East until you come to MLK. Turn left on MLK and go 2 blocks. Go through the light at Hearst, and look for us on the right side of the street, in the next block. We are just after the Veterinarian. Our building has three storefronts, and we are the middle door.

Parking:
The parking on MLK and the streets just around our building is limited to 2 hours for non-residents. There is plenty of all-day parking on nearby streets. To get to these streets, continue past our office on MLK one block and turn left on Francisco. Go 2 blocks south of MLK, and you will be out of the two-hour zone. The two-hour zone is not in effect on weekends.

Public Transit Directions:

If you take the BART, get off at the Downtown Berkeley station on the Richmond line. Exit the station at Shattuck and Center. Take a left on Shattuck, walking in a Northerly direction. Cross University Ave., and turn left on Hearst. Take a right on MLK. We are at the end of the block, at 1803 MLK.

Directions to our Denver workshops

The Lighthouse Writers Workshop is located at 2123 Downing Street in Denver, Colorado.

It is between E 20th Ave./E 21st Ave. and E 22nd Ave. View online map.

Driving Directions:
From Interstate 25, take the Park Ave. exit (213). Continue on 22nd St. headed Southeast, past the baseball stadium, until Broadway. Turn left on Broadway and take the next right onto Park Avenue W (which is also 23rd St.) Take Park to E 20th Ave. and turn left. Continue 4 blocks and turn left on Downing St. Lighthouse Writers Workshop is on the left-hand side.

From Highway 287 (Colfax Ave.), turn on Park Avenue and take a right on Downing. Continue on Downing past E 21st Ave. Lighthouse Writers Workshop is on the left-hand side.

Parking:
Street parking is readily available on Downing and the surrounding streets.

Public Transit Directions:
Lighthouse Writers Workshop is located on the 7 bus line. Take the 7 to the stop at the intersection of Downing St. and E 22nd Ave. Walk South on the right side of the street.



Directions to our Toronto office

The Centre for Digital Storytelling is located at 269 Gerrard St. East, on the second floor of the Parliament Library On the second floor, go to the end of the hall to the Centre for Community Learning and Development, our partner organization.

Our cross street is Parliament. View online map.

Public Transit Directions:

1) Take the Yonge/University subway line to College station. Take the College/Carlton streetcar eastbound. It will turn southbound on Parliament. Get off at Parliament and Gerrard.

2) Take the Bloor subway line to Castle Frank station. Take the bus southbound on Parliament street to Gerrard. The wait for this bus can take a long time (20-30 min wait is common), but the actual ride is about 5 minutes.
