Web/Media Design & Production

Whether as part of a customized program or as a stand-alone request, our Center provides state-of-the-art production services for the content, graphic design, and technical services to support DVD production or Web-based storytelling distribution. Examples of this work includes:

Developing storytelling support software tools and publications for distance learning, museum, and organizational training environments. See the New Media Consortium’s Pachyderm Project.

Integrating traditional forms of video production into digital storytelling workshop methods and producing playable training DVDs that blend documentary interviews with individual stories. See the “Learn From My Stories” project addressing obstetric fistula in Uganda.

Using Googlemaps to create custom Storymapping sites which explore the importance of geographic place and location in relation to the stories that people tell and share about their lives and communities. See the Third Ward Storymapping Project.
