Get Involved

You can support our organization in the following ways:

Donate
Make it possible for low-income individuals to participate in a Standard Digital Storytelling Workshop by contributing to our Scholarship Fund. Donate online or send a check payable to "Center for Digital Storytelling" to 1803 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Berkeley, CA 94709. Be sure to include "Donation to Scholarship Fund" in the memo line.

Volunteer
Volunteers at the Center provide important assistance with administrative tasks, outreach and marketing, workshop preparation, and computer lab maintenance. We require a minimum commitment of eight to ten hours per month. Volunteers who accrue enough hours can count them towards participation in a Standard Workshop.

Intern
Our interns have the opportunity to explore new media tools and share their own stories. They typically assist with instruction and post-production related to the Standard Workshop, as well as with customized workshops held in collaboration with partner organizations. Interns may also be asked to help with data backup/archiving, curriculum and/or promotion materials development, or other special projects, as necessary.

Eligibility: Interns must have a intermediate level of experience with Macintosh computer. Videography skills and/or proficiency in Photoshop, Final Cut (Express or Pro), Adobe Premiere (Elements or Pro), iMovie, Dreamweaver, and/or DVD Studio Pro highly desired. Interns must be willing to commit to at least one day per week for at least six months.

To apply for or inquire about Volunteer or Intern positions with the Center, please send an email to info@storycenter.org.
