What is Success

What is strength, what is resilience? What is success? What is connection? What is joy to be successful? We've been told to overcome our obstacles to achieve our goals. Is it for a better financial life. Is it a desire to overcome? Is it to be admired by our peers, or is it for joy and fulfillment?

Our life started from humble beginnings, a farm in the small village in Thailand, a poor, working class suburb in Brisbane. How could we achieve our goals, and when we do, would we be happy? Early life was difficult. We were taught work hard and focused, schooling and resolved. Were at parody. And so the work ethic was born.

This work ethic created ambition, creativity was put to the side, work, work, work, and you will succeed. Success did come scholarships, university degrees, but always hardships along the way. Nothing was easy, and this was creating insecurities and self doubt. Our lives continue with both success and theory the word ethic and ambition keep pushing us forward, hopefully something would change, and all would align.

Years later, a chance meeting would change all of this, and all self doubt and insecurities would be removed.

Who knew our connection and relationship could change so many things this time, using our ambition and work ethic paid off trying something neither of us knew how to do, really being brave and using our past life lessons and skills just to go for it and believe in ourselves, we started baking in our home. Neither of us knew how we would make our friends, try our food and listen to their feedback.

We would take it all on and try again. We started selling to friends, and then when confident, we started a small straw at a market. We had to follow our passion. We had to trust each other, to do our part, and we did. Our straw got bigger and bigger now, people come back week after week, and the comments are always the same. You know, this is made from the heart and with so much love.

And you know what it truly is we never knew till this project, that our stories had always been the same, humble upbringings work hard to achieve, and the desire to be our own boss, but chai and I always thought it was ambition that drove us and desire to be successful, but we have now found out our goal was something quite different, to bring joy to others in What we create, and this truly brings us happiness, but this also brings us success. All the difficulties are gone, and it is easy, hard work, but just easy. The old saying is so very true, do what you love and never work another day in your life, we say, go for it.
