The CPT12 Independent Media Award honors people in our community who cultivate independent expression. The 2013 award will be presented to Daniel Weinshenker, Director of the Rocky Mountain Region Office of the Center for Digital Storytelling.

The Center for Digital Storytelling is an international non-profit training, project development, and research organization dedicated to assisting people in the use of digital media to tell meaningful stories about their lives. Daniel’s video work includes projects with the Coalition Against Domestic Violence, Platte Forum, working with cancer patients at the University of Colorado Hospital, Women’s Bean Project, and History Colorado. In 2012, Daniel helped disenfranchised youth create short video biographies as part of the PBS special,The American Graduate. The resulting videos are dynamic, honest and heartfelt.

Please join us for this inaugural event. Featured speakers will include Jon Caldara of The Devils Advocate, Tamara Banks of Studio 12, Dominic Dezzutti of Colorado Inside Out, CPT12 Director of Development Shari Bernson, and CPT12 Interim GM/COO Kim Johnson.
