“The creative energy, support for people at all levels of technical ability, and commitment to the value of the human voice made the StoryCenter workshop an unforgettable experience.” -Workshop Participant

Since the development of our three day workshop model in the 1990s, we have helped some 20,000 people conceive and create their first digital story. The genre, a two to four minute short video – deeply personal, elegantly presented – has become a new form of communication, ideal for the social media world we now inhabit. Come to where the digital storytelling movement began, and experience the transformative power of digital storytelling!

This workshop includes

  • Introduction to the Seven Steps of Digital Storytelling

  • Group sharing and feedback in a facilitated Story Circle

  • Script writing and voice recording

  • Image preparation and storyboarding

  • Video editing: transitions, effects, music, and titles

  • Support on the production of a two to four minute digital story

  • Group story screening

This workshop is for everyone and anyone: young and old; tech savvy or not. Whether you feel a creative itch to experiment, a desire to more deeply explore an important life story, or the need to represent a story of your organization or community, our experienced and professional staff will make you feel completely supported and at home.
