This is the online version of the original in-person digital storytelling workshop has supported tens of thousands of storytellers as they identify a personal experience to share, develop it into a scripts and edit it into a video. Over the course of six weeks, guided by experienced StoryCenter facilitators, you will craft and produce a two to four minute digital story based on a 300-word narration script.
This workshop requires attendance at six online sessions on consecutive Tuesdays from April 8th, 2025 - May 13th, 2025. Each session is two hours and begins at 10am Pacific Time/ 1pm Eastern Time.
Workshop closes when registration is at capacity.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This workshop is designed for anyone who is interested in exploring StoryCenter’s participatory media methodology or in simply making a story from their own life. You will engage in a creative group process, enjoy support for crafting a script, and learn to produce a simple, short video. We recommend participation if your organization is inviting StoryCenter to facilitate a custom workshop. It is a pre-requisite for all of StoryCenter’s more advanced workshops and trainings. To participate, you will need a computer (Mac or PC) with an updated web browser. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email. Before the workshop starts, we will send you instructions about how to prepare and how to access WeVideo, the cloud-based editing application we’ll be using.
